State is Developing Techno Judiciary, says Maha CM Fadnavis


                                            


New Delhi,24 New possibilities are emerging for the addition and computerization of court procedures and practices. Meeting the recent challenges, it is crucial that the functioning of courts have to be modernized by better technological management, said by Maharashtra Chief  Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

     The Maharashtra  CM was speaking at Joint Conference of Chief Ministers & Chief Justices of High courts ,in New Delhi today at Vigyan Bhawan. The Union Minister for Law& Justice ,Shri D.V. Sadananda Gowda and Chief Justice of India, Shri Justice T.S Thakur were also present on the dias. Maharashtra Chief Justice D.H Waghela, and State  Pricipal Secretary and R.L.A, Law and Judiciary Department Shri N.J. Zamadar was present on the occasion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present at the inauguration of Joint Conference.

   Mr. Fadnavis told, that  the move from paper to electronic forms is a vital step in the evolution of a modern system. The introduction of Information and Technology into the legal  process and the administration of justice will increase transparency and efficiency in the state. Protecting the secrecy of court information is obligatory. This abstract therefore highlights the beginnings of the Techno-Revolution in the Judiciary of the Government. The chief Justice of India was found impressed by the suggestion of Maharshtra Chief Minister.


   The Joint Conference is an occasion for the executive and the judiciary to reaffirm their resolve to support a speedy , efficient and quality justice delivery in the country, and to discuss steps required to surmount the various challenges facing the justice system, such as inordinate delays in disposal of cases in courts, facilitating access to speedy resolution of commercial disputes by economic operators, making the justice system user friendly and affordable to all and improving the quality of legal aid services in the country.

   There was discussion upon, that number of positive steps should be taken to meet the recent challenges. The increased investment in infrastructure has resulted in India having more courts halls in aggregate and functional courts. The new legislation on setting up commercial courts and changes in the legislation on arbitration and negotiable instruments have brought the efforts to improve the ease of doing business into sharp focus for both the judiciary and the executive to act in unison.

   Additional steps required for speedy resolution of disputes through improvements in courts and case management system and simplifying the court procedures, strengthening the legal aid system and handling of cases involving juvenile offenders. The issues to deliberate on the further steps required to ensure that the justice delivery system dispenses speedy, affordable and quality justice to all as well as contributes to the ease of doing business in order to achieve the desired economic growth.
