New Delhi, 8: Till December 2017 end, 88.5 percent of the
Aadhar cards were linked to the citizens in the country and 92.6 percent of the
citizens from Maharashtsra have linked these cards.
The number of Aadhar cards distributed are
116 crore 54 lakh 28 thousand 377 citizens by the end of December 31, 2017. In
Maharashtra, 11crore 79 lakh 1 thousand and 189 citizens have been linked to
the Aadhaar card, which is 92.6% of the total population of the state.
40 million children under
five Linked To Aadhar
In December, 2017, out of 99
Lakh 62 Thousand 603 children, 40 lakh 90 thousand 152 children were enrolled
in the state under the age of five years, which is 41.1 percent. Aadhar Cards for
43.5 percent of the children in the country has been registered. Out of 12
crore 29 lakh 58 thousand 749 children in the country, 5 crore 34 lakh 75
thousand and 434 children have been enrolled for linking up with Aadhar.
2 million teenagers Link up
With Aadhar under the age of Eighteen
In Maharashtra there are 2
crore 95 lakh 9 thousand 486 Aadhaar cards teenagers between five to eighteen
years of age. Of which, 2 Crore 39 Lakh 6 Thousand 897 cards have been provided
to the teenage youth. The ratio of Aadhaar in the state is 82.6 percent. In the
country, 36 crore 10 lakh 54 thousand 369 youths in the age group of five to eighteen
have been enrolled under teenage youth. 27Crore 67 Lakh 42 thousand 327
adolescent youth have been registered under Aadhar, which makes 76.6 percent of
the the national level registration.
