New Delhi 27 :
The right combination of information of Central Government’s Socio-Economic Survey and the Adhaar would make the government schemes more people-oriented, said Chief Secretary of Maharashtra Government while participating in a National Conference Organised by NITI AAYOG.

Comprehensive information is necessary before implementing any scheme, for which there is a need to make a right combination of information generated through Socio-Economic Survey of Central Government with the Adhaar. This would ensure benefits of government schemes to percolate to the last beneficiaries.

There is a need for exchanging the success stories of implementation of various schemes by different states through such conference being organised every six months. He said the Video-conferences by the Prime Minister help a great degree to address the problems related to the schemes.

Kshatriya informed the participants in the conference about various schemes and projects being implemented in the state. This included the State Government deciding to construct 5,000 lakes through people’s participation after successful implementation of ‘Jalyukt Shiwar’ scheme. He told that there a big number of local people in the state are being benefitted by Jalyukt Shiwars this year. Apart from this, services are being provided to the citizens through public services delivery act and Aaple Sarkar initiatives, he said.

Taking a step ahead the state administration has decided to exclude the requirement of attestation of documents through a gazatted officer and replacing it by self attestation. This has minimised public inconvenience. Laks of citizens are disbursed with variety of certificates and documents through different camps being organised by the Revenue Department. He also informed that the State Government has created a facility that ensures the school students to get all their documents and certificates in the future without applying for them.

State Government is also taking efforts to reduce the burden of long time pending cases with the courts.

Several other issues like changing the financial year, evaluation of the schemes, rate of growth, five years plans and finance commission were discussed during this conference.
