New Delhi, 13 : For thousands of Maharashtrians living in Delhi for
years, The state's stall at the Bharat Parv here at India gate is like a home
away from home. They are bringing their children here so that they know more
about their home state.
Hitesh Rajpal from Sangamnar, Ahmednagar of the state who is working as
Deputy secretary in External Affairs Ministry said," Thanks to the modern
technology he has been able to enrich his children's knowledge about
Maharashtra". His daughter Ridhima and son Trishla stood in the front of
LED WALL and saw roaring tigers at the famous Todaba forest reserve of the
state. On another screen through virtual tourism, they also saw Ganpati Pirde
and Tarkaal beaches in the Konkan coastal area of the state. They also stood in
front of another screen where they saw an even felt like wearing traditional
headgear from the state like famous Pheta and Puleri pagdis. At the same time
they also played the e-puzzle to know about great leaders like Bal Gangadhar Tilak,
Jyotiba Phule and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Mahesh Patil from Aurangabad who works in Delhi Police here
said,"Though he had been busy with the Independence Day function duty, he
still managed time to come at the state's stall with his children daughter
Aakriti and son Rishi so that they could learn more about Maharashtra.
