: The office of Maharashtra Information Centre
received the 'Prabhasakshi' Award for effective use of social media during the
17th Loksabha elections, today.
A discussion on the 'Increasing Role of National Language Hindi and Regional
Languages' was organized on digital media in the backdrop of its 18th year of
Prabhasakshi, India's premier Hindi news portal at the Constitution Club, at
Rafi Marg, in which Maharashtra Information Centre was honored with the Award.
Shri Tarun Vijay, founder editor of Prabhasakshi portal, JDU Spokesperson,
Rajiv Ranjan and Ms Shajia Ilmi presented this award. It consisted of a Trophy,
Citation and a shawl. The award was received by the Deputy Director, Dayanand
Kamble, PRO Amarjyot Kaur Arora and Sub-Editor, Ritesh Bhuyar.
In relation to the increasing dominance of
Hindi and regional languages over digital media
and the new media platform, politicians of various political parties,
spokespersons and journalists of major newspapers, magazines, TV channels
presented their views.
The program started with the lighting of the
lamp. JDU national spokesperson and sitting MP, Rajiv Ranjan, IIMC former
DG KG Suresh, and Makhanlal Chaturvedi's Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi, Uttar
Pradesh Minister of State for Health, Atul Garg, Ms Shajia Ilmi, and Hemant
Tiwari were present during this time. Journalism students in large numbers were
also present on the occasion.
