New Delhi, 21: The State of Maharashtra has a strong religious and
cultural heritage. There is a long list of Saints who hailed from Maharashtra
having a strong influence on the tradition of the State. A glance of the 'Saint tradition of
Maharashtra' will walk the ramp in the ensuing Republic Day Parade 2021at the
royal Rajpath.
The work on this attractive tableau is in its
final stage of preparations at the Delhi Cantonment‘s Rangshala. From the
initiation of the concept of Tableau till its completion and the rehearsals of
the artists in the Cantonment area, is done by the Directorate of Cultural
Affairs on behalf Government of Maharashtra.
The Chitrarath
construction work is underway under the guidance of Rahul Dhansare, head of
Team Shubh from Nagpur, shortlisted for this job.
Design of the Tableau
The tableau would exhibit an eight feet huge
and a seated statue of the great Saint Dnyaneshwar, a thirteenth century
renowned poet, yogi and philosopher, along with ‘Dnyaneshwari’ a religious
literary book, he authored. In the middle part, Statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji
Maharaj and Saint Tukaram giving the message, ‘Devotion and Power’ which go hand
in hand. Deity of millions of devotees,
Lord Vitthal’s (Lord Krishna) 8.5 feet Statue and ‘Santwani’, a religious
literary work of saints has been displayed at the end of this Tableau.
Replicas of various saints like Saint Janabai,
Saint Kanhopatra, Saint Namdev, Saint Sheikh Mohammad, Saint Narhari, Saint
Sawta, Saint Damajipant, Saint Goroba, Saint Eknath, Saint Sena, Saint
Chokhamela will also hold special attraction for the spectators. Around 30
artists are been working on this day and night under the supervision of the art
Director Naresh Charde and Pankaj Ingale.
The concept and three-dimensional
replica of this design has been created by young artists Roshan Gule (24) and
Tushar Pradhan (23).
