Skill Development training will usher in a new dawn in the life of India’s youth - PM Narendra Modi - Prime Minister inaugurates Pramod Mahajan Rural Skill Development Center Praises the concept of Maharashtra, association of opportunity and training important Skill Development Centers will prove to be employment temples - CM Eknath Shinde

 








Mumbai, Oct 19 : Skill Development Training will usher in a new dawn in the life of India’s youth. This training will play an important role in creating a developed Bharat. From this point of view, the Pramod Mahajan Rural Skill Development Center scheme of Maharashtra is important, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi praising the skill development initiative of the state today.  Such skill development centers will prove to be temples of employment, said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde exuding confidence.

          Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated through the videoconferencing system 511 Pramod Mahajan Rural Skill Development Centers set up in 350 taluks of the state by the State Government’s Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department.

          On this occasion, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Dy CM Devendra Fadanvis, Dy CM Ajit Pawar, Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, State Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik, and others were present at the dais at the function held at Sahyadri Guest House. Similarly, public representatives, all revenue officers, district collectors, ZP CEOs and Senor Officers, Center Coordinators, and citizens were present at their respective centers and places. All these centers were connected to the main function through the videoconferencing system.

          Mentioning the ongoing festival of Navratri and extending best wishes Prime Minister Modi said a mother cares for her son’s happiness and success. In such a pious atmosphere we are launching this innovative concept for training the youth. This will bring a new dawn in their life. There is a great demand for trained Bharatiya youth all over the world. The population of senior citizens is increasing in other countries across the world. According to a survey, there is a need for 40 lakh trained youth in about 16 countries across the world. They are in great demand in sectors like construction, health, tourism, hospitality, education and transport. Through such skill development programs we can create a trained manpower not only for Bharat but for the entire world, Modi said.

          Making a mention of opportunities available in construction, modern agriculture, and entertainment-media sectors, Prime Minister Modi said that it would be in the right earnest to provide training in soft skills to those youth who want to try their luck abroad through these skill development centers of Maharashtra. In the past, skill development was taken that seriously, and therefore, due to the absence of training the youths had to suffer a loss though they had capacity and opportunities.

          Now we have set up an independent ministry for skill development and made separate financial provisions for it. Crores of youths are being provided training through the Prime Minister Skill Development Centers. Even today, in many artisan families the legacy of traditional knowledge is handed down the generations in rural areas. They need support and backing. We are implementing the Vishwakarma Shram Sanman Yojana to provide support and backing to them. They are given modern equipment and good training. These 511 training centers in Maharashtra will be useful in extending the Vishwakarma Yojana, the Prime Minister exuded confidence.
