President Pranab Mukherjee honours talent at 63rd National Film Awards


              ‘Ringan’ awarded as Best Feature Film in Marathi
New-Delhi.03: President Pranab Mukherjee presented the 63rd National Film Awards today at Vigyan Bhawan at a glittering ceremony here studded with talent representing the diversity of the Indian film industry.
       Baahubali’ got the the Best Film award. ‘Ringan’ awarded as best Feature film in Marathi Language, A heart rending survival story of a father-son duo, who decide to fight and live rather than end their lives, in the background of farmer suicides in Maharashtra. Manoj Kumar received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
   Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore , and the Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Ajay Mittal  were present on the ceremony.

      


 Awardees from Maharashtra

The Director Makarand Mane and Vithal Patil received Rajat Kamal Award for the Best Marathi Film “Ringan”  withthe Prize money of  Rs.1 Lakhs each.
Mithunchandra Chaudhari received the Rajat kamal in the category of best education short film “ Paywat” with the cash prize of 50,000Rs. Mahesh Kale got the Rajat Kamal  for best male playback singer ( Katyar Kalijat Ghusli) with the cash Prize of 50,000Rs.
In the Category of Special Mention  Rinku Rajguru awarded with the certificate for the film "Sairat". Amol Deshmukh received Rajat kamal for Best Short Fiction Film: Marathi film "Aushad" . For Best Debute Film “Darvatha” Director Nishant Roy Bombade received the Rajat Kamal with Prize money of 75,000Rs. For best Narration Harish Bhimani received the Rajat Kamal with cash prize of 50,000Rs . For Best Editing Praveen Angre and Shridhar Rangayan received Rajat Kamal with 50,000 Rs for Breaking Free.

    From the main set of awards, S S Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' has awarded for Best Film with Swarna kamal with Cash Prize of 2,50,000Rs each, Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Best Director ('Bajirao Mastani') received Swarna Kamal with cash prize of 2,50,000Rs, Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan for Best Actor ('Piku') and Kangana Ranaut for Best Actress ('Tanu Weds Manu Returns') got the Rajat kamal and cash prize of 50,000Rs.
   
   Best popular film providing wholesome entertainment  Bajrangi Bhaijaan Kabir khan got the Swarna kamal with 2,00,000Rs. Best Hindi film.  Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Best Choreography Remo D’Souza for Bajirao Mastani ,Best Jury award to Kalki Koechlin for Margarita with a Straw , Best production design to Bajirao Mastani , Best Audiography  Talvar, Best Dialogue and screenplay Tanu weds Manu Returns and Piku, Best Cinematography  Bajirao Mastani, Best Play back Singer (female) Monali Thakur Best Child Artist  Gaurav Menon,
Best Supporting Actress Tanvi Azmi for Bajirao Mastani, Best Film Friendly State Award: Gujarat (special mention to UP and Kerala) Best Bodo film Dau Huduni Methai, Best Haryanvi film Satrangi ,Best Manipuri film Eibusu Yaohanbiyu, Best Mizo film Kima’s lode Beyond The Class, Best Wancho film: The Head Hunter,Best Khasi film: Onaatah,Best Telugu film: Kanche,Best Odiya film: Pahada Ra Luha,Best Konkani film: Enemy,Best Assamese film: Kothanodi Best Malyalam film: Pathemari ,Best Kannada film: Thithi ,Best Maithili film: Mithila MakhaanBest Sanskrit film: Priyamanasam ,Best Tamil film: Visaaranai, Best Punjabi film: Chauthi Koot, Best Bengali film: Shankhachil,Best Hindi film: Dum laga K Haisha,Best Background score: Ilaiyaaraja (Thaarai Thappattai),Best Music direction: M Jayachandran (Kaathirunnu Kaathirunnu in Ennu Ninte Moideen)Best Costume Designer and Make-up Artist: Nanak Shah FakirBest Editing: Late Kishore TE (Visaaranai),Best Dialogues: Juhi Chaturvedi (Piku) and Himanshu Sharma (Tanu Weds Manu Returns), they all received the prestigious award in their respective category.
