‘Bharat Parv’ ends with Patriotic performances by Maharashtra






          
 New Delhi, 18 : The week-long Bharat Parv at the India Gate lawns here drew to a close with a thrilling dance drama entitled "Azadi se Aazadi tak – Ek Buland Nara" performed by over 300 artists from Maharashtra, whose pavilion attracted over 40,000 visitors. The Union Minister of Urban Development and Information & Broadcasting Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of State for Tourism Dr. Mahesh Sharma,  Minister of State for  Information & Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and  Maharashtra Minister for Culture Mr.Vinod Tawade besides a host of dignitaries were among those who witnessed the grand finale and were all cheers for the performance.
Whether it was the typical Maharashtrian cuisine, or the handicrafts or the handloom items, they all were in great demand. According to an official, handicrafts and handlooms sold in great numbers.
Whether it was Virtual Tourism or the rich flora and fauna of the state or the  tiger reserve of Tadoba, they were beautifully depicted through giant LED TV screens. In fact, one got the impression as if he was right there at the forest, face to face with the tiger.
The E-PUZZLE showing great Freedom Fighters and Social Reformers of the state was equally popular and turned out to be a great source of information for many a youngsters who had thronged the pavilion in a large number. As a Senior Official at the pavilion put it," it was a roaring success as such events help highlight the overall progress the state has made in different fields of activities". 
The Maharashtra ahead and Lokrajya the states twin publication attracted the lot of visitors as they help them enrich their information and knowledge about the progress and development that the state has made in the recent past. Beside Dr. Mahesh Sharma the minister of state for defence Dr. Subhash Bhamre also had visited the pavilion and shown keen interest in various exhibits put  up their.
