New Delhi, April 19:
Officers in the Government administration are given the Prime Minister's Award
for their outstanding work. They are recognized with highly respected and prestigious
Award on Civil Services Day. In past 11
years, 15 officials have been recognized and honored with the Prime Minister's
Award for effective implementation of eight schemes in Maharashtra.
The Prime Minister's Award
is given to officers in administration service, who effectively implement the
government schemes, setting a good example of public administration. The award
is given in the New Delhi on 21st April every year by the Prime Minister. These
awards are been given since 2006.
From
PM's Crop Insurance Scheme To the changing nature of Thane city
The journey of this Award to
Maharashtra is that of the Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme and that of
the changing nature of Thane and Nagpur city. Dr. Chandrasekhar got the first
Prime Minister award in 2006, for his notable work in the transformation of the
twin cities of Thane and Nagpur city.
In the same year, the
Rajshahi Shahu Sarvangeen Shikshan Abhiyaan initiative started by Kolhapur
Zilla Parishad was notable in the country. The then Chief Executive Officer
Prabhakar Deshmukh and Mahavir Mane were honored with the Prime Minister's
Award for outstanding contribution in the team initiative.
Vijay
Singhal received the award for the river linking Projects
For his remarkable work in
the river linking of Jalgaon river project, the then District Collector Vijay
Singhal got the Prime Minister's Award in the year 2008. In 2009, Chief
Engineer of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran Rajendra Holani, along with his team-engineers,
Sadanand Bhopale, Yashwant Basugade, Uttam Bagade were recognized with this
respectable and prestigious award for providing twenty-four-hour water project to
Malkapur city which was remarkable.
Prime
Minister's Award for Agricultural Commission
Navi Mumbai Municipal
Commissioner, Vijay Nahata got the award for effective implementon of Education
policies and running the training centre in the year 2009. In 2012, State's
Agriculture Commissioner received the Prime Minister’s Award for effectively implemention
of pest supervision and pest management projects in the state.
Four
people award for skill development
The effective implementation
of the scheme of skill development for tribal youth in tribal-dominated
Gadchiroli district won Prime Minister’s Award. Former District Collector
Ranjit Kumar, Abhishek Krishna, TKS Reddy and Y.S.Shende were recognized for their outstanding
services with this award in 2013-14. The
then District Collector Shivaji Jondhale was conferred with the Prime
Minister's Award for his outstanding work done under Prime Minister's Crop
Insurance Scheme in Jalna district of Marathwada in the year 2017.
To
date, 201 officials have been awarded the Prime Minister's Award
From 2006 to 2017, 201
officers of the country have been honored with the prestigious Prime Minister's
Award for their outstanding work. In the year 2006-2007, as many as 61Officers
was honored with this award and a maximum of 27 officers were awarded this year
in 2013-14.
