Delhi, April 20: Maharashtra received a
maximum of 30 National Awards under National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS)
for Public Health institutes and Primary Health Centres, with Pune District
bagging a maximum of 10 Awards in its kitty. Union Minister of State for Public
Health and Family Welfare, Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey distributed the Awards,
today.
The Award Ceremony took place at a ‘National
Conclave on Quality Public Health’ held at PGIMER Auditorium of Dr Ram Manohar
Lal Hospital in New Delhi, organized by the Ministry of Public Health and
Family Welfare. Present at the dais were
Executive Director of National Health System Resource Centre (NHRSC) Dr. Rajni
Dev, Medical Superintendent Dr. V.K. Tiwari
All
those States’ Health centers and hospitals across the country got felicitated,
who met the NQAS standards set by the central government were given this
'National Award'. The state of Maharashtra, winning a maximum number of 30
awards acclaims the premier position. 28 PHCs of the state and Daga Memorial women's
hospital in Nagpur and the Sparsh rural hospital at Sastur in Osmanabad were
honored with the National award.
Pune
District tops with 10 NQAS Awards To Primary Health Centers
Pune
District of Maharashtra received maximum 10 awards. Primary health centers of
Mann, Wagholi, Sawargaon, Morgaon, Lonikbhor, Katewadi, Uruli Kanchan, Takalchaji,
Takawe and Khadkala-Kamshet were honored. Taluka quality assurance coordinator,
Dr. Ajit Karanjkar along with the representatives of the concerned PHCs
accepted this award.
Three
PHCs of each, Nagpur and Thane District were honored with this Award. Dhapewada, Makardhokada and Takalghat from Nagpur,
and Dhasai, Dabhad and Divanjur from Thane were honored. Two PHCs each from
Kolhapur – Niwade and Chikhali, and Akola – Hiwarkhed and Malsur PHCs, Two PHCs
from Aurangabad – Aland and Ganori were felicitated with national award. Gholavad PHC of Palghar District, Hasnabad in Jalna
district, Adhalgaon, Ahmednagar district, Sahur in Wardha District, Holnanthe
PHC Dhule and Hatedi PHC in Buldana were
honored.
Nagpur’s
Daga Women Hospital, Osmanabad’s Sparsh Rural Hospital Awarded
Dagga
Memorial Women's Hospital of Nagpur and Sparsh Rural Hospital at Sastur in
Osmanabad District were honored at this time. State coordinator, Maharashtra
State QAC, Dr.Ramji Adkekar, State Program Officer Dr. Mayuri Sankhe and
Anamika Nigwal were present during this time.
