New Delhi, Dec. 28: Nagpur’s Five Artists from Government College of Art and Design are in the National Capital to exhibit their paintings with an ‘Utopian’ concept.
The week long exhibition going on at Rabindra Bhawan in Mandi House since Thursday will last till 2nd of January 2019. Lalit Kala Akademi’s Secretary Shri Rajan Fulari inaugurated this exhibition.
Abstract Designs, Human Depiction Art exhibiting 72 Paintings
Five Artists, all Lecturers from the Government College have put up their unique paintings depicting abstract design and art and Human depiction inspired by real life situations. A total of 72 paintings are on the display. Shri Subhash Babhulkar and Shri Abdul Gaffar’s works are a true reflection of one self. The men and women, whether alone or in groups, are lost in their own, often surrounded by verdant nature. Shri Babhulkar is in complete awe of the peacocks. His every painting has peacocks in different sizes, colours and designs.
Whereas, Shri Vikas Joshi, Shri Sanjay Jathar and Shri Kishore Ingale exhibit their paintings in abstract design and art form. Shri Joshi says, he has tried to pick up lessons that nature has given him and has tried to incorporate in his paintings. His every canvas depicts myriad hues, moods, colours, textures, shades of Black. According to him, he plays with colours, and his compositions are poems to him, symphonies of nature that bring out harmonious beauty.
Shri Sanjay Jathar’s compositions are fascinated with ‘lines’ and ‘composition of lines’. Every painting of his reflects hugeness of sea and boats drawn with sleek crispy lines defining the highness of nature. Shri Ingale’s designs are full of human forms, a woman enjoying the company of a peacock, enjoying nature and lost in her thoughts.
The paintings are in oil, acrylic and sketches in black and white. The exhibition is open to all between 11 to 7 pm.
