New Delhi, 3: The Bye-Election for the vacant seat of
Andheri-East Constituency (166) of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha will be held on
November 3, 2022 and the last date for filling in Nominations will be October
14, 2022.
The
Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for bye-elections for 7
vacant seats of Legislative Assemblies in 6 states including Maharashtra.
The seat had fallen vacant due to
the sudden death of Andheri-East Constituency MLA, Shri Ramesh Latke while on
his trip to Dubai. Any Vidhan Sabha seat falling vacant, due to any reasons has
to be filled in by the Election Commission of India, within six months of its
falling vacant. Accordingly the bye-election will be held for this seat. And to
fill in this seat, the Election Commission of India has announced that
elections will be held on November 3, 2022 for a total of 7 seats including Andheri-East
assembly constituency in six states. Two in Bihar, one each in Haryana,
Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. The results will be announced on November
6, 2022.
Schedule
for Bye-Election Assembly Constituencies
The
election notification for these elections will be issued on October 7, 2022.
Last date of Nominations is 14th October and scrutiny of Nominations will be
held on 15th November. Last date for withdrawal of candidatures is till October
17. The voting to these assembly constituencies will be held on November 3 and
the results will be announced on November 6, 2022. The entire election process
will be completed on November 8, 2022.
