Rs 10 Lakhs to the heirs of deceased scavengers in Parbhani’s Sonpeth Incident Maharashtra Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde expressed condolences



New Delhi, 12: Five people died yesterday while cleaning sewage from a septic tank at Bhaucha Tanda near Sonpeth city in Parbhani District. The Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed grief over this incident and has announced an aid of Rs 10 Lakh each to the families of the deceased and gave directions in this regards. He announced this aid in Mumbai, today.

The aid would be provided through Social Justice Department Scheme of the state government. Shri Shinde has also directed to provide all necessary medical treatment to the workers injured in this accident at the expense of the government. Five persons died of suffocation while cleaning debris from the septic tank of a house in the farm house of Bhaucha Tanda around 9 pm last night. 

On Thursday, around 9 pm, Six workers descended into the safety tank to clean the septic tank of a farm house in Bhaucha Tanda.  Five people died due to the gas and one of the worker who is in critical condition, has been admitted in the Government Hospital at Ambajogai. As soon as the Chief Minister learnt about this incident, he instructed the administration to provide the necessary assistance immediately
