“MAHARASHTRA VISIT YEAR 2017” STARTS TODAY : ‘MAHA JATRA FESTIVAL’ CONCLUDED TODAY WITH CM OF MAHARASHTRA



   
NEW DELHI, 30 : Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis announced   “Maharashtra Visit Year 2017” at ‘Delhi Haat’ today  to promote Maharashtra Tourism . He invited  the tourist to visit glorious Maharashtra.

Maharashtra is a region of  remarkable diversity, it is as one of India’s most industrialized state, it has always been at the forefront of the country’s progress, said CM of Maharashtra, at his speech on the closing day of Maha Jatra,”cultural yatra of Maharashtra”.

The state  has a glorious history. it is a land of natural beauty as oceans hills, ghats ,forest, wildlife. It consist of many historical forts, religious places, temples, water fall , beaches, museum. It is the third largest state in the country.

He announced “2017 “as” “Maharashtra visit Year”  to attract tourist spot in Maharashtra on Domestic and International Level, he welcomed everyone to visit the state to capture the life of Maharashtra,he offered to discover years of history and varied heritage.

     Maharashtra government organized maha jatra for two weeks to promote the culture and varied heritage of the state at Delhi haat. On Saturday Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Delhi haat, on the crowning day of Maha Jatra which was conducted from 17th of January till 31st of January at Delhi haat. It was to promote small scale industries like handy crafts, handlooms, paintings and many more.

Chief minister was the part of closing ceremony with Valsa Nair Singh,  Secretary ,Tourism &  Cultural Affairs. The performances that started with Ganpati vandana and went on to include many dance forms from maharashtra like kohli,kala,lavani,left audience spellbound.at end group performed a danace on the stage by making a multi level human pyramid with a child on top.

On the last day of event Valsa Nair conveys the main intention of this maha mela was to promote art, craft, culture,and special cusines of Maharashtra. About 118 small stalls in mela reflected the real beauty of this state to entire world. She later tells snacks like puran poli, had become favorite with Delhihites, with the little spectacular colorful journey of Maharashtra with a bite of hot vada pao. In her welcome remark she said,” we will tie up  with large and small hotel industries,&caterers to promote ‘puran poli and vada paav’nation and world wide.

 The CM was welcomed by tourism and cultural secretary Nayar  .‘Maha jatra’ received an encouraging response and was very successful .Artiste and entrepreneur was honoured by the  CM .On this grand Occasion  the CM awarded few entrepreneur and artiste who participated in “MAHA JATRA”
CM felicitated the renown Art Director Nitin Desai, Paithani maker Jitendra Rajput, Handloom artist Rajendra Ankam, Women entrepreneur      Smt. Vijya  and the owner of ‘Maha food’ stall Shubhami Chipalumkar.
