4 THOUSAND CRORE FUNDS TO BE ALLOCATED FOR MAHRASHTRA : DEEPAK KESARKAR


NEW-DELHI,06: Minister of State for  Finance, of Maharashtra, Shri Deepak Kesarkar demanded 4 thousand 32 crore funds for abolishing local body tax levied by municipalities , to make Aurangabad a tourist spot, for the development plan of Seva gram, at Pre-Budget Consultative Meeting of Union Budget 2016-17.

              Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely holds the meeting with Finance Minister of all the states and Union Territories today at New Delhi. Kesarkar, said Mahrashtra has always supported the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (G.S.T)the state fiscal position is quite stressed on account of relief measures because of wide spread drought. The Government  has substantially abolished local body tax levied by municipalities so he requested to provide the state for compensatory grant of Rs.3382 crores in the current financial year to make the loss of their revenue.
             
             400  CRORE FOR   AURANGABAD TO MAKE A TOURIST SPOT

       Amount of Rs.400 crore was demanded for the scheme of  ‘अतिथि देवो भव’ for Aurangabad city as it consist  the presence of  historic architecture which attracts large number of tourist from different countries. 
 
                                  SEVAGRAM PLAN COST 250 CRORE

          Central assistance, funds was asked to be provided, for developing Sevagram,Wardha area based on Gandhian vision.The Wardha project included upgradation of Ashram area,heritage tourism development and infrastructure development.The plan cost is around 250 crore.


CENTRALLY SPONSORED SCHEME PATTERN TO BE CONTINUED
   
         Guidelines from Ministry of Finance, regarding revise sharing pattern of Centrally Sponsored schemas,devolution to the State of Maharashtra by way of Central Plan assistance is needed to decrease by rs.12970 crore.The schemes have huge committed liabilities and state have to bear it as many such programmes, He said the development will put further strain on yhe financial position of the state and will limit capacity of the state to undertake new development work.so he requested that earlier pattern of schemes to be continued.

MORE ALLOCATION FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF
‘MAKE IN INDIA’

          Mr. Kesarkar demanded Union Government  to provide sufficient assistance as, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation has acquired sufficient land in the vicinity of industralised city of Aurangabad.  asked the opening of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial corrider for materializing the concept of  ‘Make in India’which can change the economic scenario of the country.

                  He asked for the increament in the funds, for Modernisation of Police Force.The state has acted on the guidelines about the this plan of the centre,he said the amount received for the modernization was not sufficient and funds should be increased .

               Around twenty percent of the area of the state comes under Forest reserve,he demanded centre to allocate sufficient funds for the development.Industry will be eco-friendly needs to be developed, so as to address the issue as terrorist activity in the area.


                He requested, assistance for Mumbai Infrastructure,as it is economic capital of the country.The state proposed to built a coastal road connecting the city with the suburbs.and he requested to provide funds for Metro network project for time saving public transport.
