New Delhi, 15 : Artists
engaged in small scale industry who have put up their stall at the Bharat
Parv’s Maharashtra pavilion here in Delhi are getting tremendous response ,
thanks to their own talent and logistic support
from the Maharashtra Small Scale Industrial development Corporation
(MSSIDC).
Be it the Kolhapuri footwear or Paithan sarees
or Warli paintings or bangles made of
lac, people coming to this pavilion are not only liking these items but buying
them too.
Mohd. Iqbal Lakhera, from Achalpur, Amravati
district of the state, said he has been getting tremendous response as people
are visiting his stall in large number and buying lac bangles. Women members of
his family have been engaged and helping in his job, he has been doing for over
ten years now. He also was appreciative about MSSIDC with which he has been
engaged for past one year. I am here for the first time and am thankful to the corporation
for providing me with all the logistics, he said. Overall, its been a good
experience so far, he said adding he would even like to participate now in the
Delhi trade fair and Dilli haat.
Rajinder Shinde from Kagal tehsil of Kolhapur said
for him it was like a dream come true. So far i had only heard about Rajpath or
seen it on Tv that 26th January parade starts from here. But now i
am sitting here,in my stall selling Kolhapuri chappals and getting huge
response, said an elated Shinde who is
here with his ‘guru’Ananda Ravan who had
taught him the art of making Kolhapuri chappals.
Vitthal Dagle
from district Palghar, who has been in the business of making Warli paintings
for over four years now, said children are especially liking his kiticen set
item with warli painting on its back side. I am thrilled at the response i am
getting and the MSSIDC with which i have
been associated for the past two years, has been of great help, he added.
Other than Puneri sarees, the Paithan sarees are in
big demand here and i am glad sale has been good so far,said Jitender Pradhan
from Aurangabad who has been associated with the corporation for years. By now,
i have known the taste and liking of people as i have been to several parts of
the country for this work and now i would like to go abroad for exhibition and
sale of Paithan sarees, said he rather confidently.
