Delhi, 19: Maharashtra has ranked first
in pumping up Infrastructure Facilitation projects. Presently, the State has 1 Thousand 97
Infrastructure Projects amounting to the tune of Rs 5 lakh 97 Thousand 319
crores. This has been mentioned in the NITI Aayog’s Project report on 30th
April, 2017.
In
the report submitted by NITI Aayog, various government projects like
Infrastructural projects, private projects, PPP have been included. The report has given clear cut details of the
projects from Rs 5cr to 50crores.
Presently,
there are a total of 8Thousand 367 projects going on in the Country amounting
to Rs 50Lakh 58Thousand 722 crores.
However, of the total projects, Maharashtra has the largest number, that
is 11.8% of the total infrastructural projects.
Uttar
Pradesh follows Maharashtra with 454 infrastructure projects involving an
investment of Rs 3Lakh 54Thousand 419 crores, which is 7% of the total
projects. Third in the row is Arunachal
Pradesh with 188 Infrastructure projects amounting to Rs 3Lakh 17Thousand 130
crores. The total cost of these projects
amount to 6.3% of the total projects.
Tamil
Nadu is fourth on this list and Gujarat State is on number 5 with total
infrastructure projects involving 6.2% and 5.7% of the total projects. These
states are followed by Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Rajasthan
etc.
