Let’s Unite Together To Build a New India: Appeals CM Devendra Fadnavis




New Delhi, July 16:  Let us all come together and strive towards making our Country, a New India. For this, each and every citizen needs to contribute their best, appealed the Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, today.
Shri Fadnavis was in the Capital to address and felicitate the youth at a ‘New India Conclave’ organized by Y4D Foundation held at Vigyan Bhavan. He said that everyone needs to work unilaterally and with positive energy for building of new India.

Chairing one of the Special sessions in the evening, Shri Fadnavis appreciated the efforts of the Foundation and honored the representatives for their outstanding work in different fields.
        The Chief Minister said, ‘If positive energy is combined with an inclination to work sincerely, then the society can bring out a noticeable change. With this, the dream of building a New India can be realized’. Adding further, he said the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had appealed to the country for ‘Swachh Bharat’. We can see the fruitful results, where all the citizens have been striving to realize this goal.  This all has been made possible through people’s participation, who have worked selflessly. 
Construction of 60 lakh sanitary Toilets & 16 thousand villages made drought-free
A drastic change can take place through positive energy and people's participation. This can be witnessed in the State of Maharashtra, where, construction of 60Lakh toilets and water conservation projects have been executed, added the Chief Minister. This has transformed the rural areas. People have developed hygienic habits and rural Maharashtra became Open Defecation free.
Major water conservation works in Maharashtra have been executed successfully through state government and public participation. This is a big example of positive energy, resulting into 16 thousand villages in the state from becoming drought-free. Shri Fadnavis also underlined the State’s decision of making the State completely free from usage of Plastic bags.
 Public participation Needed in 'Model Village' scheme
          Shri Devendra Fadnavis said that the work of constructing 1,000 villages in the state has been started in collaboration with State Government, various social institutions and industry sectors. This is a unique example of positive energy and mass participation. From this national platform, the chief minister appealed every Indian to contribute their efforts to bring about a social transformation in the Country, and every youth should contribute in this direction.
