New Delhi, Aug 18: The Chief
Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis today announced an immediate
funding assistance of Rs 20 crores in the wake of the State facing the most
savage monsoon in over a century.
An immediate relief of Rs. 500 crore has been announced for Kerala, for Kerala flood affected persons. The Maharashtra
Government is constantly in touch with Kerala Government for their requirements
and the necessary support, since yesterday.
MCHI-CREDAI
is contributing with food packets of Rs. 1.5 crore, Rajasthani Welfare
Association & JITO International contributing Rs. 51 lakh each. Around 11
tonnes of dry food has been arranged so far, out of which, 6 tonnes would be
sent by Saturday evening, informed Shri Fadnavis.
Shri
Devendra Fadnavis has appealed everyone to come forward and stand firm with
citizens of Kerala and contribute in all possible ways to help our fellow
citizens.
