Santosh Gangwar Honors Mumbai’s Food Delivery Boy Siddrameshwar Humanabade





New Delhi, Jan. 1: Mumbai’s Siddrameshwar Humanabade, the Food Delivery Boy, who acted as a saviour in helping the fire victims of the tragic fire accident at ESIC Hospital, Andheri, was honored with a reward of Rupees one lakh by the Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Santosh Kumar Gangwar here today.

On 17th of December 2018, fire broke out in the premises of The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation Office at Andheri (ESIC), which falls under the purview of Ministry of Labour and Employment.  Shri Humanabade, a non-employee of this organization saved lives of 10 persons beyond the call of his duty. For his courageous service, Shri Gangwar honored him with a reward of Rs one Lakh Rupees. 

The Union Minister said, “It is also praiseworthy to mention that Mr. Siddrameshwar continued his selfless service for rescuing the victims until he started feeling uncomfortable due to inhaling of toxic gases due to the fire. In recognition of his courage, selfless nature and missionary zeal, I am pleased to reward Mr. Siddrameshwar a sum of Rupees One Lakh only”.

Adding further, the Union Minister praised the selfless service of Shri Siddrameshwar and said that he, even though not an employee of ESIC has set an example for the whole ESIC team working in Hospitals and other units of ESIC and to the country as a whole in times of such crisis.
