Delhi, Dec. 26: In a bid to expedite Vidarbha, Marathwada, Khandesh, Western
Maharashtra’s pending road development works, a review meeting was held in the
Capital, in which the Road Transport and Highways Ministry has given a green
signal to expedite all pending issues, informed the State Power Minister, Shri
Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
A
review meeting was held at 2, Motilal Nehru Marg, the official residence of the
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, Shri Nitin Gadkari. Present in this
meeting was Nagpur District Guardian Minister, Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Food,
Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection Minister, Shri Girish Bapat, RT & Highways
Secretary, Shri Yudhvir Singh Mallick, senior Officers, NHAI senior Officers
and many other officers.
Deliberations
on Maharashtra’s various pending road development issues took place during the
meeting. Issues like widening and connecting of old NH211 stretch (called Jalna
Road) with length 14.5 km passing through Aurangabad city from Chikalthana to
Nagar Naka involving an estimate expenditure of Rs 200 crores, six-laning of
Nagpur-Bhandara, Amravati District’s Nandgaon Peth Toll Naka, One time improvement
of Jalgaon City portion on NH6 and another issue of NH6 to connectivity
seoni-shirur-PKV-Dakshata Nagar-Ridhora bypass connecting NH6 involving an
estimate expenditure of Rs 136 crores was also discussed. The Union Minister gave a positive assurance for
expediting all issues.
Shifting
of Mansar Toll Naka – Work-In-Progress
In
the previous meetings held for shifting of Mansar Toll Naka in Nagpur towards
Khwasa, to which the Government of Maharashtra had consented to do the needful.
In today’s meeting, Shri Bawankule informed the union minister about its work
in progress. Informing further, he said,
this would definitely boost up the spirits of devotees visiting Ramtek. Issues pertaining to shifting of
Patansavangi-savner Toll Naka towards Baitul in Madhya Pradesh, constructing of
a over bridge at Nagpur-Savner Road and putting up a signage board as, ‘11.285’,
to avoid accident prone area and to provide adequate security cover to this
area were discussed.
Pune
District’s issue of Integrated Infrastructure of road development of NH4 at
Chandni Chowk, one time improvement of Miraj City roads development for Rs 100
crores, construction of flyover near Koradi Mandir Road on NH47 and
Amravati-Chikali and Fagane-Gujrat Border NH (IL&FS Project) were also discussed.
The Minister gave a patient ear to all issues and assured of all clearances as
early as possible.
Pune’s
32km Ring Road Phase-I Proposal Submitted to Ministry

Pune
Guardian Minister, Shri Girish Bapat was here to deliberate on the Pune
Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s (PMRDA) revised Phase-wise project proposal
of Pune Ring Road Phase-I to NHAI under Bharatmala Pariyojana. The project cost
of Rs 110 meter wide and 32 KM Ring Road would be around Rs 1981 crores,
informed the minister. In this regards, PMRDA would take responsibility of land
acquisition, informed Shri Bapat. The total cost involved will be around Rs 3Thousand
674 crores including land acquisition, he added. After going through the proposal, Shri Gadkari
asked Shri Bapat submit a presentation of the same to Secretary, NHAI. Shri
Bapat said that, he would submit this presentation within few days.
